There are over seven billion people and one planet. It is time for everyone to join the conservation conversation and ignite efforts to preserve nature.
That is why, on 28 Aug 2018 the LCA launched LCA Spark Talks in front of a live audience, on and offline. In collaboration with Homebrew Films, the LCA hosted conservation enthusiasts from across the world in front of a live studio audience and over 14, 000 Live Facebook users to spark a love for conservation.
On the stage were Dr Michele Menegon from PAMS Foundation, Krish Lewis from the Two Oceans Aquarium, Ray Clark, a 10-year-old South African pupil with a passion for conservation, Phan Le Ha Long from Wild Rhino – Vietnam, be my Hero and Ellen Windemut and Victor Eckard from the Waterbear network.
“We want people to talk about conservation. To stand up here and tell their stories”, LCA CEO Chris Marais said.
With LCA Spark Talks, the stage for conservation-centred dialogue will be brought live to like-minded audiences who share a passion for conservation. Based on the Ted Talks concept, Spark Talks is also aimed at the youth, to ignite their passion for conservation.
